March Challenge 2021
Happy 1st of March, I can definitely see the light and the end of the tunnel. Before life starts to get a little crazy again, I would really like you all to take the time this month to concentrate on yourself and your health – bring on a little challenge for March!
This isn’t a ‘weight loss challenge’ or a ‘tone up for summer challenge’ (too much of this going around right now), this is simply a consistency and attendance challenge. We all know how good exercise makes us feel physically and most importantly mentally, I know that we are all feeling a little fatigued and anxious about the months ahead, so let’s use what’s available to us to support us through the final leg of this difficult year. Mind, Body & Soul.
I’m setting you the challenge to complete as many Pilates, Fitclub or other exercise sessions this month. I want you to log the sessions in your diaries or on your phone, then send your totals to me at the end of the month. You are your only competition. The way you feel at the end of March will speak for itself.
No pressure, just do what you can
Consistency is key!
The completed classes can be live or recorded
Give yourself a little extra push this month. Your body and mind will thank you for it.
End of Lockdown
Despite the March challenge, I want you all to know that at Merton Health & Fitness when lockdown ends, I’m not expecting you all to bounce back through the Pavilion doors, glowing, full of energy and looking and feeling great!
We have all been through so much in the past 12 months. It’s been traumatic for many reasons for many of us. Many have put of weight, some have lost fitness levels, many are depressed, many are suffering with anxiety, some are suffering with long Covid, some are feeling crippled by grief, some have bags under the eyes due to lack of sleep and stress and let’s not even mention the hair!
It’s going to take time for us all to heal and find our flow again.
Even if you’ve been training with us online throughout lockdown, and taken part in our March challenge, it may still be a shock for you to return to The Pavilion or you may want to continue with online classes. If you’ve not managed one single online class or decided online training wasn’t for you that’s also fine.
It’s my promise to you all that when the time is right I will welcome you all back with a kind, gentle, understanding, safe warm welcome. As I plan possible timetables for after Easter I’m taking all of this into consideration. I want you all to feel safe, secure and welcome when we do return.
We will be back with no judgement or pressure and we will all be smiling, laughing, chatting and training together soon in person. If you have any requests for classes etc please feel free to contact me at any time.
For now let’s spring into March. Concentrate on the here and now and I look forward to seeing you all online.
Online classes are now open for booking
